The band “Youth Explosion” is being launched this year. It is the premier Kadooment Band for Crop Over 2008 for
the youth and young at heart by the youth. Conceptualized by Q. Jones Enterprise, this band stands poised to set the
benchmark for innovation and creativity. It has been created by a few ambitious young persons of Barbados ranging from ages
18– 30. The motto of the band is “Going Big” as it seeks to establish a sense of harmony among the youth of today.
“Youth Explosion” is expected to comprise approximately 500- 700 members, where there will be three main sections;
each showcasing Barbadian excellence.
Youth Explosion’s web presence intends to go beyond the provision of information. The web site should not only provide
information on the band and its events, but also act as a portal for young persons to issues affecting and of interest to
them. Truly a winning combination.
At this point in time, we would like to thank each and every person in anticipation for assisting in this dream come
true, by bringing the youth together as ONE. God bless and enjoy the rest of your Crop Over Festival.
